Joining Rhonda at down-to-earth for her Friday photo feature, this is whats on my mind today ~
Last night we found out that we are to be an Uncle & Aunt again!
How very exciting. DH sister is pregnant with her fourth baby. It got me thinking straight away about what I could be making and sharing with her. My bassinet has been shared around for so many babies and when I was pregnant with my fourth I made this set hoping that it will be something that will be passed down through my children from generation to generation.
The photo is very dodgy, if you can't tell - its candlewicked - guess it was the best I could do at the time and we were living in a shed!
Beautiful bassinet! It's nice to have family heirlooms to pass around. Congratulations to you all...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the happy news! I hope her pregnancy goes smoothly and that you will get to enjoy being an aunt again :)
ReplyDeleteThe bassinet looks beautiful. And how special passing on a family heirloom!
Visiting you from the 'Down to Earth' link up :)
Blessings,

I think your handiwork is very nice. But, in your header is a ladder being used to shelve boots - that I'm crazy about.

Thank you for your comments :) :)
ReplyDeleteBrenda, I have to admit that was hubby's idea. I put the ladder there and continued to complain about the pile of boots and how we needed somewhere to put them. Next thing he had them all stacked on the ladder - I love it too!
Visiting from Rhonda's blog. What a beautiful piece of handy work. I also felt a bit inspired after scrolling down and finding out how easy it is to knit a beanie. Thanks for a lovely post.
