Today I'm joining Rhonda from Down to Earth for her Friday photo feature, 'on my mind'.
I'm wondering where the time has gone this year as my DS4 heads off for his last day of kindy. All I know is its going way too fast for me. I wish I could just freeze this time of innocence, squishy cuddles, mischief and the simple wonderous moments I want to hold on to forever.
We made these cute little 'pudding biscuits' for his class party.
And some simple spiced trivets for the teachers, I'm sure they get enough chocolate!!
Hi Julie, very cute biscuits. Those spiced trivets look interesting....I've never seen those before, can you explain how they are used?
ReplyDeleteYour pudding biscuits are gorgeous and what a great idea for a teacher present. I know what you mean about time...i was looking at my girls and thinking that just the other day.
ReplyDeleteJust dropped by from DTE..thanks for sharing
Jode
Hey Debra, the trivets are for putting hot pots etc on. They are filled with wheat (or you can use rice) and spices/herbs, I used cloves and cinnamon in these. When they get hot the aroma of the spices is released. I'll do a post on making them for you.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend :)
I am frantically searching for things to make and these spice trivets sound like the perfect thing. Please share soon! : )
ReplyDeleteWorks of art! I bet the class LOVED them and the teacher's surely will enjoy the trivets.
ReplyDeleteHi again, thanks for explaining, I thought that was the concept, but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Ah well...I'd better get back to the sewing...., Christmas is creeping up fast :) We're just about to get a big storm here, so I hope the power stays on...dogs are being fraidy cats in the laundry. lol.
ReplyDeleteI would love to know how you made these.
ReplyDeleteMichaele, I am making a couple more this week so will post step by step instructions.
ReplyDeleteI'm also doing more pudding biscuits for the playgroup party, so I'll do the same. You'll be happy with how easy they are!
Julie :)
